What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN

(A6119, YEW TREE DRIVE, RAMSGREAVE DRIVE, BROWNHILL DRIVE, WHITEBIRK DRIVE, BLACKBURN) (40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION AND REVOCATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, proposes to make an Order under Sections 81 to 84 (inclusive) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Constable of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The usual exemptions will apply. Any queries concerning the proposals should be made by telephoning the Council and asking for the Highways Team on 01254 585585.

Copies of the Orders and relevant plans, together with a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined at the Information Desks, Town Hall, Blackburn and Town Hall, Darwen Monday to Friday inclusive between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. (excluding Bank Holidays). Written objections to the Orders, specifying the grounds thereof, should be sent to the undersigned to be received no later than 14 September 2026.
