NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Adlington Road, Wilmslow
Notice Is Hereby Given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Adlington Road, Wilmslow
– From the junction with Macclesfield Road to the junction with Chapel Road.
The alternative route will be via Hough Lane, Hough Lane Roundabout, Prestbury Road, Thorngrove Roundabout, Birrell Way, Bollin Valley Roundabout, Maclean Way, Dean Row Roundabout, Dean Row Link, Dean Row Road Roundabout, Dean Row Road, Adlington Road Roundabout, Adlington Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Monday 7th September 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 16th November 2026.

This order will come into operation on Monday 24th August 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 28th August 2026.
