Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Council made Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Burtonwood & Westbrook Footpath 28, Burtonwood (Footpath Closure)

Temporary Order 2026

The effect of which is to introduce a footpath closure on Burtonwood & Westbrook Footpath 28 from its jct. with Sunningdale Cl to its jct. with Kinnock Park Segregated Footpath to Scout Hut. The Order will be effective from 16th September 2026 for 14 weeks. Alternative routes will be signed on site. The closure is required to allow for flood defence work to be carried out.

Carpenter Gr (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2026

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Carpenter Gr fronting property numbers 16 to 28. The Order will be effective from 7th September 2026 for 3 days, between 9:30am & 2:30pm. The closure is required to allow for Openreach to install a new service connection.

Temporary Order 2026

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Cartwright St Passageway Rear of 89 to 129 from its jct. with Collin St to its jct. with Cartwright St Passageway Gable of 129. The Order will be effective from 7th September 2026 for 1 week. The alternative route will be via Collin St, Cartwright St, Cartwright St Passageway Gable of 129 & vice versa. The closure is required to allow for United Utilities to carry out sewer repairs.

Daniel Cl, Birchwood (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2026

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Daniel Cl from its jct. with Admirals Rd for its entire length. The Order will be effective from 2nd September 2026 for 3 days, between 9:30am & 2:30pm. The closure is required to allow for Openreach to install a new service connection.

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Oxmead Cl fronting property numbers 25 to 43. The Order will be effective from 7th September 2026 for 3 days, between 9:30am & 2:30pm. The closure is required to allow for Openreach to install a new service connection.

Penny Ln, Burtonwood (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2026

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Penny Ln between its north jct. & its south jct. with Broad Ln. The Order will be effective from 24th August 2026 for 3 weeks. The alternative route will be via Penny Ln, Collins Green Ln, Lumber Ln, Fir Tree Ln, Chapel Ln, Phipps Ln, Broad Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow cadent Gas to carry out gas mains replacement works.

Warrington Ln, Lymm (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2026

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Warrington Ln from its jct. with Burford Ln to its jct. with Agden Ln. The Order will be effective from 9th September 2026 for 1 day. The alternative route will be via Lymm Rd, Higher Ln, Burford Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out pole replacement works.

The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.

The Borough of Warrington (Traffic Management) (Civil Enforcement)

Consolidation (Amendment No. 13) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & of all other enabling powers on 18th August 2026. The effect of the Order is as follows:-

  1. The Borough of Warrington (Traffic Management) (Civil Enforcement) Consolidation Order 2025, is hereby further varied or amended as follows:-

(a) In the 3rd Schedule by the deletion of: No waiting at any time: Haydock St (Both Sides) – Between a point 64.9m west of its jct. with Ashton St & its jct. with Winwick St; Haydock St (North Side) – Between a point 64.9m west of its jct. with Ashton St & its jct. with Winwick St.

(b) In the 11th Schedule by the deletion of: No waiting between 8am to 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday: Haydock St (North Side) – From a point 37.7m west of its jct. with Ashton St for a distance of 27.2m in a westerly direction.

(c) In the 77th Schedule by the deletion of: No loading & unloading at any time: Haydock St (North Side) – From its jct. with Winwick St for a distance of 12m in an easterly direction.

(d) In the 3rd Schedule by the addition of: No waiting at any time: Haydock St (North Side) – From its jct. with Winwick St in an easterly direction for a distance of 139m.

(e) In the 77th Schedule by the addition of: No loading & unloading at any time: Haydock St (North Side) – From its jct. with Winwick St in an easterly direction for a distance of 139m.

The Order will be effective from 20th August 2026. Deposited documents may be viewed on-line at https://www.warrington.gov.uk/permanent-traffic-regulation-orders or Contact Warrington, 1 Time Sq, Warrington, WA1 2NT between 9am & 5pm, Monday to Friday. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from 18th August 2026, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
