PTRO 811 – BOOTH BED LANE, BRICK BACK LANE, BOOTS GREEN LANE, ALLOSTOCK 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which came into force on 14th August 2026.
The effect of the order will be to prohibit any vehicle from exceeding 40 mph on the lengths of road specified in the schedule.
SCHEDULE
(40 mph speed limit)
Booth Bed Lane – from its junction with A50 London Road to the Cheshire East border.
Brick Bank Lane – from its junction with New Platt Lane to its junction with Booth Bed Lane.
Boots Green Lane – from its junction with Booth Bed Lane to the Cheshire East border.
If you wish to question the validity of the order or any of its provisions on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instruments made under it has not been complied with, you may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
TRO8842 – Cuddington Lane in Cuddington
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Cuddington to enable excavation to install 191m of 96mm duct in the verge to connect to the existing BT network works to be carried out by BT.
CUDDINGTON LANE: OPP MILL HOUSE TO R/O NO.12 BALMORAL CLOSE
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works or repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.
The Order will come into force on 14/09/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 11 days to complete.
Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via: Cuddington Lane, Norley Road, Warrington Road.
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
TRO8845 – Sadlers Lane in Tarporley
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in TARPORLEY to enable excavation to facilitate water upgrading works to be carried out by United Utilities Water Ltd.
SADLERS LANE: Junction of Stable Lane towards Saddlers House
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works or repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.
The Order will come into force on 17/09/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 22 weeks to complete.
Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via: Saddlers Lane, Tarporley Road, Stable Lane.
