NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lincolnshire County Council has made two Orders under their powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to impose an Experimental Order which will prevent access and loading between the hours of 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday, and prevent waiting on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 10am to 4pm, and Tuesday & Saturday midnight to 4pm, in the Market Place, Bridge Street, Broad Street, Red Lion Street, Sheep Market and Hall Place. There will be no restrictions in place on a Sunday. This Order supersedes the previous experimental Orders cited as Lincolnshire County Council (Spalding – Various Roads) (Prohibition of Waiting) Experimental Order 2026 and (Prohibition of Driving) Experimental Order 2026.
The Order will come into operation on 24th August 2026 and a copy of the proposed Order and a plan showing the lengths of road concerned with a Statement of Reasons may be inspected at the address given below and the offices of South Holland District Council, during normal office hours.
Representations or objections to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made, must be made in writing to Chief Executive – Lincolnshire County Council, Lancaster House, 36 Orchard Street, Lincoln, LN1 1XX or Email: TRO@lincolnshire.gov.uk (For the attention of: Mrs J Gibson, Traffic Orders Section) by 24th February 2027.

Lincolnshire County Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Order should continue in force indefinitely together with any representations or objections received.
Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks after 17th August 2026 make application to the High Court for this purpose.
