(Path between Goldingham Drive and Austen Close, Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To temporarily close the path 15 metres east of Goldingham Drive, East approximately 34 metres to its junction with Austen Close path.
Diversion will be Goldingham Drive, Austen Close and vice versa.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 23 August 2026 to 28 August 2026 where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public, while the installation of a new service connection is undertaken.
The Order will come into effect on 23 August 2026 may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Church Lane, Braintree and Bocking) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Lane, Braintree and Bocking in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Drovers Avenue to its junction with Deanery Hill a distance of approximately 145m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th September 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2388154 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Church Street, Bovingdon Road, Beazley End, Parkhall Road, Church Road, A1017, A131, B1053 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 27th August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cross Farm Road, Finchingfield/Walthams Cross, Great Bardfield in the District of Braintree, from Pump Lane for a distance of approximately 810m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th September 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2409033 & EP20153095898 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Kings Chase, Witham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Newland Street to its end a distance of approximately 70m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th September 2026 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013331205 – Essex And Suffolk Water). Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tinkers Green Road, Finchingfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 80m north west then north east of its junction Spains End Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th September 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGSNVH7K – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Tinkers Green Road, Spains Hall Road, B1057, Tinkers Green Road and vice versa.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Beazley End, Wethersfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 135m north east of its junction with Codham Hall Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd September 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03166263301 – Anglian Water Business (National)). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
- To temporarily close that length of Colchester Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from both of its junctions with Eastways to its junction with Northbound Slip From A12 To Witham a distance of approximately 85m.
- To temporarily close that length of Oak Road, Rivenhall in the District of Braintree, from its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction and from its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a north westerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 2nd September 2026 for 38 nights (21:00 – 05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (FM40685143795 & FN40669788777 – National Highways Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce to support full closure of the A12 NB J24 to J25 while resurfacing works are undertaken by National Highways.
An alternative route is available via A131, A120.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of School Road, Rayne in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 60m north east of its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd September 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310805303 – Anglian Water Business (National)). Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Station Approach, Braintree and Bocking in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 145m south east of its junction with South Street for a distance of approximately 40m in a south easterly, easterly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st September 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP20167801141 – JCS Poster Site Construction Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bus shelter removal works are undertaken by JCS Poster Site Construction Ltd.
