(Footpath 38, Dedham) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 38, Dedham in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Coopers Lane southeast to its junction with Castle Hill for approximately 281 metres.
Diversion route: Coopers Lane.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 01 September 2026 to 31 October 2026 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public while the retaining wall is rebuilt.

Effect of the Order:
1. To Revoke: ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Restrictions on the following:

Description — Both Sides: From a point approximately 15 metres south of the extended southern kerb line of John Harper Street, south for approximately 5 metres
2. To Implement: ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Restrictions on the following:

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bakers Lane, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 40m south west of its junction with Briawick for a distance of approximately 130m in a south westerly then north westerly direction.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Old House Road, Great Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from its junction with The Causeway to its junction with Coach Road a distance of approximately 1210m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th September 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2385407 – Essex County Council).
