Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the Order:

1. To Revoke: No Waiting Mon-Fri 8.30am-9.30am and 2.45pm-3.45pm’ and To Implement: ‘No stopping 8am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4pm’ restrictions (Red Route)

2. To Revoke: No Waiting at Any Time and Implement: No Stopping at Any Time (Red Route)

3. To Revoke: No stopping Mon-Fri 8.00am-9.30am and 2.45pm-3.45pm (School Keep Clear marking) and Implement: No stopping Mon-Fri 8.30am and 2.30pm-4.00pm (School Keep Clear marking)

This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by substituting map tile: TM015 275 Revision 0 to Revision 1

(Footpath 38, Dedham) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 38, Dedham in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Coopers Lane southeast to its junction with Castle Hill for approximately 281 metres.

Diversion route: Coopers Lane.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 01 September 2026 to 31 October 2026 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public while the retaining wall is rebuilt.

The Order will come into effect on 01 September 2026 may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Colchester City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and stopping) and

(On-Street Parking Places)

(Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.81) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the Order:

1. To Revoke: ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Restrictions on the following:

Road: North Station Road

Description — Both Sides: From a point approximately 15 metres south of the extended southern kerb line of John Harper Street, south for approximately 5 metres

2. To Implement: ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Restrictions on the following:

Road: North Station Road

Description — West Side: From a point approximately 53 metres south of the extended southern kerb line of John Harper Street, south for approximately 1.5 metres

This Order will be incorporated into the ‘Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019’ by substituting map tiles: TL990 257 revision 2 to revision 3.

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 28 August 2026.

(Bakers Lane, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bakers Lane, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 40m south west of its junction with Briawick for a distance of approximately 130m in a south westerly then north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th September 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03768455348 – Anglian Water Business (National)). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while manhole cover repairs works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).

An alternative route is available via Bakers Lane, Spring Lane North, Spring Lane Roundabout, A133, A1124, Wood Lane, Porters Cottages, Fiddlers Hill, Mill Road, Church Road, Plummers Road, Wormingford Road, Fordham Road, Packards Lane, B1508 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 27th August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Old House Road, Great Horkesley)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Old House Road, Great Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from its junction with The Causeway to its junction with Coach Road a distance of approximately 1210m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th September 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2385407 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Coach Road, A134 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 27th August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Station Road, Thornington)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Station Road, Thornington in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 555m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th September 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (KA250GCX006221 – Gigaclear). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by Gigaclear.

An alternative route is available via B1029, B1027, A133 and vice versa (with access only into B1029).

The Order will come into effect on 27th August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Station Road, Tiptree)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Station Road, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Surrey Lane for a distance of approximately 60m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th September 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03768412069 – Anglian Water Business (National)). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while manhole replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).

An alternative route is available via Station Road, B1022, B1023, Station Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 27th August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(West Street, Wivenhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of West Street, Wivenhoe in the City of Colchester, from its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 10m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th September 2026 for 14 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231014977 – T.H Moss & Sons). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while scaffolding works are undertaken by (T.H Moss & Sons).

An alternative route is available via B1028, High Street and vice versa. (with access only into West Street).

The Order will come into effect on 27th August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Woodside Close, Colchester)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Woodside Close, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Churnwood Road for a distance of approximately 65m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th September 2026 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411002WH2K3G9Z – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while joint box repairs works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Cromwell Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cromwell Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 25m east of its junction with Mersea Road for a distance of approximately 20m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd September 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03164409867 – Anglian Water Business (National)). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while remedial works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).

(Ferry Road, Fingringhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ferry Road, Fingringhoe in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 230m north west then north east of its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd September 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03168396308 – Anglian Water Business (National)). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ivy Lodge Road, Great Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 250m south east then north east of its junction with Nayland Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st September 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310807592 – Anglian Water Business (National)). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).

(Osborne Street & Whitewell Road, Colchester)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Osborne Street, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 50m south east of its junction with Abbeygate Street for a distance of approximately 50m in a south easterly direction.

2. To temporarily close that length of Whitewell Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Osborne Street for a distance of approximately 10m in a south westerly direction.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 31st August 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ1031001515360 & AZ1031001518090 – Cadent Gas). (Rawlings Crescent, Colchester)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rawlings Crescent, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 55m north east of its junction with Purvis Way for a distance of approximately 20m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th September 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30087634590 – UK Power Networks). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Commons (including Cycle Lane), Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Norman Way for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th September 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC0080GEAA4885230SB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Whaley Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Whaley Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 30m south west then north west of its junction with Saint Andrews Avenue for a distance of approximately 10m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st September 2026 for 11 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30097574267 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while service upgrade works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
