THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS (CAMBRIDGE ROAD, WEST PARK)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 7th day of August, 2026, the St. Helens Borough Council made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in either direction along Cambridge Road at its junction with Virgil Street, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.
The Order came into force on Monday 10th August 2026, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to be two weeks. The alternative route will be via Virgil Street, Kitchener Street and vice versa.
The reason for making this Order is to facilitate electricity connection for 6 new apartments.
