Kington - Temporary 40mph Speed Restriction Due To Utility Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE Is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as the highway authority, intend, under Its relevant powers, made the following Order: AA4111 Kington, Temporary Speed Restriction Order 2026, to temporarily restrict the speed of vehicles to 40mph on the following road(s): A4111, Kington, approximately 500mtrs north and 500mtrs south of Lower Lilwall. Grid Ref: 329889/254338 to 330447/255155 as indicated by signage.

The said restriction is required due to utility works on or near said roads and the likelihood of danger to the public while works are being carried out. The said restriction will be in place for approximately 1 day and will come into force on 14th September 2026. However, the restriction may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State).
