TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A27 Trunk Road in the County of West Sussex, under
Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road.
The effect of the Order is to authorise the 24-hour closure of the lay-bys adjacent to both carriageways of the A27 in phases between Bognor Road Roundabout (A259) and Warblington Interchange (A259).
These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake carriageway repairs and all associated works.
It is expected that the closures will take place on Chichester bypass for approximately
3 weeks starting on or after Tuesday 1st September 2026, and the remaining sites between Fishbourne and Warblington for approximately 3 weeks starting on or after Monday 2nd November 2026. Please visit the National Highways website for further details.
The Order will come into force on 30th August 2026 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
The temporary closures will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
