Shelwick - Temporary Road Closure Due To Maintenance Inspection Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order : C1125 From A4103 To River Lugg, Shelwick , Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1125 From A4103 To River Lugg, Shelwick, at the railway bridge. Grid Ref: 352606/242725.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via C1125 onto the C1126 onto the C1120 onto the A49 onto the A4103 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to maintenance inspection works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 15th of September 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 night (22.00-6.00hrs).
