ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (as Amended) – SECTION 14(1)

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS (PIMBO ROAD, KINGS MOSS)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the St. Helens Borough Council propose not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in either direction along Pimbo Road between its junction with Brook Lane and the public right of way at Pimbo Road Debris Screen, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.

The Order will come into force on Monday 5th October 2026, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to be 12 days. The alternative route will be via Pimbo Lane, Long Lane, Crawford Road, Reeds Brow, Hydes Row, Higher Lane, B5205 Higher Lane, B5205 Red Cat Lane, Red Cat Lane, Crank Road, and vice versa.

The reason for making this Order is to facilitate a new electricity service connection.
