LANE AND U5356 MOSS END LANE, MILNESS) (WESTMORLAND COUNTY SHOW)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the Westmorland County Show takes place on adjacent land and to assist in providing safer access/egress into and out of the showground, Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to:
- Prohibit any vehicle (exemption for service buses) from proceeding other than in a south westerly direction along that section of the B6385 Crooklands Bridge, from its junction with the A65 to its junction with Milton Lane.
Duration: The one-way restriction detailed at 1 above will only be in force from 0700 hours to 1300 hours on Wednesday 09 September 2026 and Thursday 10 September 2026.
- Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding other than in a north westerly direction along that section of the U5356 Moss End Lane from its junction with the A6070 to its junction with the B6385.
Duration: The one-way restrictions detailed at 2 above will only be in force from 0700 hours to 1400 hours on Wednesday 09 September 2026 and Thursday 10 September 2026.
- Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding other than in a south easterly direction along that section of the U5356 Moss End Lane, from its junction with the B6385 to its junction with the A6070.
Duration: The one-way restriction detailed at 3 above will only be in force from 1400 hours to 2000 hours on Wednesday 09 September 2026 and Thursday 10 September 2026.
- Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U5357 Milton Lane, from its junction with the B6385, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 290m.

The Order will come into operation on 09 September 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum period of up to eighteen months from that date. The restrictions will only be required for 2 days at the times stated above and/or only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
