What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC
REGULATION
COCKHILL ROAD,
LISBURN

Notice is hereby given that the Department for Infrastructure
using its powers under Article 7 (1) and (3) of the Road
Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, has
temporarily prohibited the use, by traffic of:-
Cockhill Road, Lisburn from Dunygarton Road to Robbery
Road
This road will be closed continuously from Monday 24th
August 2026 until Friday 2nd October 2026.
The closure is to facilitate work by DfI Roads Eastern (New
Works & Maintenance Schemes) - Structural repairs to
masonry arch bridge.
An alternative route will be signed with traffic being diverted
via:
Kesh Road – Cockhill Road – Gravelhill Road – Lurganure
Road – Halfpenny Gate Road – Robbery Road.
