(CONSOLIDATED) (WAITING, LOADING, STOPPING, DISABLED PARKING AND RESIDENTS PARKING) EXPERIMENTAL AMENDMENT ORDER NO. 66, SEPTEMBER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council has made the above Orders under Sections 9 and 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
Restrictions under the Experimental Orders
To prohibit vehicular traffic Monday to Friday (term times only) at the following locations and times:
Brook Lane (between Brookland Road and Laburnum Road),
Walsall Wood (St John’s Primary School) (8.15-9.15am & 3-4pm)
Hanch Place, Walsall (Bluecoat Infant School) (8-9:15am & 2:45-3.45pm)
School Lane, Old Town Lane (between St Margarets Road & Clarendon Place) & Clarendon Place, Pelsall (Pelsall Village School) (8.30-9.15am & 2.45-3.45pm)
Exemptions include but are not limited to: Permit holders (eligible residents), emergency services including doctors on call, district nurses and registered care and support workers, council vehicles and other statutory undertakers serving properties within the restricted streets. Universal postal services, public transport. Taxis and private hire vehicles serving properties within the restricted streets, blue badge holders visiting properties within the restricted streets.
And, amend existing/introduce new waiting and loading restrictions
at the following locations:
Brook Lane, Laburnum Road, Coronation Road, Brookland Road & Beech Tree Road, Walsall Wood.
Wolverhampton Road, School Lane, Old Town Lane, Green Lane St Margarets Road, Clarendon Place & Shortlands Lane, Pelsall.

Full details of the Orders and plans which show the roads subject to the Orders and the extent and details of the controls proposed, along with a statement of the council’s reasons for making the Orders may be examined by appointment at The Civic Centre, Darwall Street, WALSALL, during normal office hours. Objections/Support
The Orders were made on the 21 August 2026 and will come into operation on 1 September 2026. In due course, Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council will be considering whether to bring the provisions of the Orders into force indefinitely. If, within a period of six months of the Orders coming into operation, any person wishes to object to, or support the indefinite continuation of any control under the Orders they may write (quoting ref GW/2265/6275 for school streets or GW/2265/6274 for parking restrictions) to the Permanent and Temporary Traffic Management Team, The Civic Centre, Darwall Street,Walsall, WS1 1DG or to the email address
