NOTICE OF MAKING CITY OF COVENTRY (JUDD’S LANE AND ROWLEY’S GREEN LANE) (NO STOPPING AT ANY TIME AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”) which will come into operation on Monday, 24th August 2026.

The Order will implement the following restrictions on Judds Lane and Rowleys Green Lane:-

• A ‘No Stopping At Any Time’ restriction along the length of Judd’s Lane

• A ‘No Stopping At Any Time’ restriction along that part of Rowley’s Green Lane from its junction with Jimmy Hill Way (A444) to its junction with Judds Lane

• Limited Waiting for Buses only on the southern side of Judds Lane adjacent to Coventry Building Society Arena

• Limited Waiting on the southern side of Judds Lane adjacent to the Coventry Building Society Arena The Order is required to maintain public safety, improve vehicular access and provides, specifically for larger vehicles and provide a more amenable and safer route for pedestrians accessing and egressing the football stadium.

A copy of this Notice, the Order, Map Tiles and Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be inspected at the Council House (reception area) Earl Street, Coventry and on the Council’s website ‘www.coventry.gov.uk/tro’

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from today, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS NUFFIELD ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Nuffield Road commencing from its junction with Bell Green Road and continuing to a point outside property number 13 Nuffield Road.

The Order will come into effect on 00:01 hours on Tuesday 25th August 2026 and is required to enable the replacement of a gas pipe on the said road. The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Wednesday 9th September 2026. The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Nuffield Road

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS ALLARD WAY, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Allard Way commencing at its junction with Jasmine Grove and continuing to its junction with the Access Road to Alan Higgs Centre. The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Sunday 30th August 2026 and is required to enable the safe structural examination of the rail bridge works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 23:59 hours on Sunday 30th August 2026.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Allard Way.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS CROMWELL LANE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Cromwell Lane commencing at its junction with Charter Avenue and continuing to its junction with Westwood Heath Road. The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 24th August 2026 and is required to enable National Gird to safely install new supply and carry out works associated with overhead power cables.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Friday 28th August 2026.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Cromwell Lane.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS F P MELFORT CLOSE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit pedestrians from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on F P Melfort Close from No. 10 to No. 6 Clifford Bridge Road for its full length.

The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Wednesday 19th August 2026 and is required to enable BT to safely install a new fibre connection.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Friday 21st August 2026.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local pedestrian access.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS FARMAN ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Farman Road commencing at its junction with Melbourne Road to approximately 10m west of its junction with Latham Road.

The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Wednesday 26th August 2026 and is required to enable BT to safely replace a telecoms pole.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 23:59 hours on Wednesday 26th August 2026.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Farman Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS VARIOUS ROADS, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along the roads set out in the Schedule below until prescribed signs are displayed.

The Order will also include the temporary suspension of no left turn from Chace Avenue into London Road.

The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Wednesday 26th August 2026 and is required to enable the London Road Cycleway Scheme and associated works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Wednesday 31st March 2027.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS VARIOUS ROADS, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding of any vehicle on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below.

The Order would come into effect at 07:00 hours on Friday, 21 August 2026 and is required to enable the installation of a safety traffic scheme and associated works to be undertaken safely on the roads listed in the Schedule below.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 31 August 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be sign posted on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) reasonable local vehicular access or egress to properties on the closed section of road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Lythalls Lane, Brays Lane

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS GEORGE ELIOT ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along George Eliot Road from its junction with Foleshill Road for approximately 30 metres.

The Order would come into effect at 07:00 hours on Tuesday, 1 September 2026 and is required to enable new gas connection and services and associated works on George Eliot Road to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 15 September 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) reasonable local vehicular access to George Eliot Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
