Various Roads, Clacton on Sea

Notice is hereby given that from the date specified below, Colchester City Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1 July 2022 Has Made the following order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, a temporary waiting and loading restriction in the lengths of road and during the date and times specified below.

The restriction is required due to the likelihood of danger to the public.

(Various Roads, Clacton on Sea)

(Temporary No Waiting and No Loading

Restrictions) Order 2026

No Waiting and No Loading from 6.00am

to 7.00pm on Wednesday 26 August,

Thursday 27 August and on

Friday 28 August 2026

Lengths of road at Clacton-on-Sea.

Tower Road, Clacton – North-east side from its junction with Marine Parade West to the north western boundary of no. 42 Tower Road, a distance of approximately 150 metres.

Wash Lane – both sides from its junction with West Road to its junction with Freeland Road, a distance of approximately 275 metres.

Hastings Avenue – East side from its junction with West Road for a distance of 100 metres.

Hastings Avenue – South-east side from a point opposite the boundary between nos. 69/71 Hastings Avenue for a distance of 55 metres in a south westerly direction.

Hastings Avenue – Both sides from the boundary between nos. 11/15 Hastings Avenue for a distance of 70 metres in a generally westerly direction.

Selsey Avenue – Both sides from its junction with Hastings Avenue for a distance of 25 metres in a southerly direction.

Link Road – Both sides from its junction with Alton Park Road south east for 15 metres.

Arnold Road – Both sides from its junction with Leas Road south east for 20 metres.

Crown Road – Both sides from its junction with Cherry Tree Avenue in a east and then north east direction for 30 metres.

Queen Elizabeth Avenue – Both sides form its junction with Cherry Tree Avenue east for 25 metres.

Prince Philip Avenue – Both sides from its junction with Cherry Tree Avenue east for 35 metres.

Vista Road – from its northern junction with Skelmersdale Road both sides for 10 metres.

Vista Road – South Side from a point opposite the boundary line of 84/86 north west for 30 metres.

Recreation Road – from its junction with Vista Road both sides southwest for 10 metres.

Valence Way – Both sides from its junction with Vista Road northeast for 10 metres.

Alton Park Road – East side from a point opposite the boundary of numbers 52/54 Alton Park Road to a point opposite the boundary of numbers 60/62 Alton Park Road, a distance of approximately 39 metres.

Anchor Road – Both sides from its junction with Alton Park Road to a point 3 metres west of the boundary of numbers 80/82 Anchor Road for a distance of approximately 18 metres.

Park Road – Both side from junction with Anchor Road to a point level with the boundary wall of number 48 Park Road

Deal Close – Both sides south west from the junction with Hastings Avenue to the junction with Little Stone Court.

Weymouth Close – Both sides north east from the junction with Hastings Avenue to a point level with the north east facing boundary wall of number 31 Weymouth Close.

No Waiting from 8.00am to 10.00pm on

Thursday 27 August 2026 and from 8.00am

to 6.00pm on Friday 28 August 2026

Lengths of road at Clacton-on-Sea.

Nelson Road – both sides approximately 16.5 metres from the junction with Marine Parade East for a distance of approximately 147.0 metres

Cherry Tree Avenue – both sides from its junction with West Road north west for 20 metres

West Road – north side from a point 15 metres west of its junction with Cherry Tree Avenue to a point 15 metres east of the same junction

Collingwood Road – both sides approximately 16.5 metres from the junction with Marine Parade East for a distance of approximately 75.0 metres

St Vincent Road – both sides approximately 15.5 metres from the junction with Marine Parade East for a distance of approximately 147.0 metres

Trafalgar Road – both sides approximately 17.5 metres from the junction with Marine Parade East for a distance of approximately 149.0 metres

Any existing stopping, waiting and parking restrictions relating to the above lengths of road contained in The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Consolidation) Order 2019 will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the above restrictions.

(Battisford Drive, Clacton on Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Battisford Drive, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Bluehouse Avenue to its junction with Saxstead Drive a distance of approximately 180m.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th September 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2399552 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway patching and kerbing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Saxstead Drive, Saxmundham Way, Tyler Avenue, Bluehouse Avenue and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 27th August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Frinton Road & Clacton Road, Great Holland)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic &

Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close that length of Frinton Road & Clacton Road, Great Holland in the District of Tendring, from the junction of Frinton Road Roundabout to the junction of Little Clacton Road a distance of approximately 2660m.
  2. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.

“The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The closure/clearway is scheduled to commence on 14th September 2026 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2410038 & EP201EH2410038A – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/clearway is required for the safety of the public and workforce while SWAS works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via B1032, B1033, B1414, B1027, B1032 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 27th August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Holland Road, Little Clacton)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Holland Road, Little Clacton in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Lodge Road for a distance of approximately 180m in a south easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st September 2026 for 11 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT003DS0064242 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Great Holland Common Road, Little Clacton Road, B1032, A133, B1027, B1442, Thorpe Road and vice versa (with access only into Holland Road and Sladburys Lane).

The Order came into effect on 13th August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
