Barnet - Disabled Parking Bay & Permit Parking Amendments Order

The Barnet (Free Parking Places, Loading Places, Waiting, Loading And Stopping Restrictions) - (Amendment No.312) Order 2026 The Barnet (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No.210) - Order 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of The London Borough of Barnet have made on 20th August 2026 the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 32, 35, 49 and 51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
In order to provide a parking facility to disabled blue badge holders who meet qualifying
criteria, the general effect of the above Orders will be to provide designated disabled parking bays for use by motorists in their vehicles who display both a valid disabled blue badge and dedicated disabled permit which will be applicable to each bay, outside the following locations:
11 Quinta Drive EN5 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), 37 Huntingdon Road N2 (by converting a length of permit holders only parking bay), (opposite) Ivory Court, Broadhead Strand NW9 (by converting a section of permit holders only parking area), 17 Chandos Road N2, 111 Cumbrian Gardens NW2, 14 Woodstock Avenue NW11 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), 26 Birkbeck Road N12 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), 59 Gainsborough Road N12 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), 8 Wroughton Terrace NW4 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), Avenue Mansions, Bedford Avenue EN5 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), 27 Denman Drive North NW11, 3 Fairlawn Avenue N2 (by converting a length of permit holders only parking bay), Sheringham Court garages N3 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), Wardell Field NW9, (parking area to the rear of Ratier, Long Field) (by converting an area of permit holders only parking), and 4/5 Old Farm Road N2.
The above Orders will also remove redundant disabled parking bays outside 1 Manor Cottages Approach N2, 53 Sevington Road NW4 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking), 54/56 Balfour Grove N20, 19 East Crescent N11, 5 Park Avenue N3 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking), 17 Grove Road EN4, 24 Grove Road EN4, 61 Montpelier Rise NW11 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking) and 20 Falkland Road EN5.
Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on Tuesday 25th August 2026 and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders can be obtained, for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing: parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk, or by writing to: The Design Team, Highways Section, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London, NW9 4EW.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
