Date of Order: 17/8/2026
Coming into force: 24/8/2026
This Order is being introduced because of LV electrical excavation works which are anticipated to take until 9/10/2026 to be completed. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Jericho Street between Walton Street and Albert Street. Exemptions are included for emergency vehicles, the Works and for access to property. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T18186/JP)
Notice of Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles
Oxford, Botley Road

Coming into force: 24 August 2026
This Order is being introduced because of carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are anticipated to be completed 31 August 2026. This will operate between 20:00 and 06:00hrs. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit through traffic and waiting in that part of the Botley Road between its junctions with Abbey Road and Binsey Lane. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when and where the measures are in force. The alternative route for traffic will be signed locally and on the ring road. Exemptions are included for emergency vehicles, the Works and for access to property. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T18298/AC)
Notice is hereby given that Oxfordshire County Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intends to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order as detailed below:
Nature of Restriction: Road Closure
Location: Gidley Way, Horspath, Oxford, Oxfordshire outside 64-66.
Description of Works: Pole replacement being carried out by BT.

Duration: Starting on 29/10/2026 00:00
The anticipated completion date is 29/10/2026 23:59 (inclusive)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders have a maximum duration of 18 months, or 6 months for footpaths, bridleways, cycle tracks and byways that are open to all traffic).
Access: Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for properties within the closed section of road where reasonably practicable.
Suggested Alternative Route: via Gidley Way, Road Running Through Littleworth, Littleworth Road, Church Road, Station Road, Ladder Hill, Cuddesdon Road, Gidley Way and vice versa.
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Oxford, Footpath Number 320/57/30
Temporary Footpath Closure
Date of Order: 16 March 2026
Came into force: 23 March 2026
This Order was introduced because of safety measures associated with housing construction works and is anticipated to be completed February 2027. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily part of the footpath No.320/57/30 running from the A40 northwards towards Stevenson Crescent. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath. The alternative route is signed westwards via Fields Road, south across A40 and North Way, and eastwards along footpath parallel to the A40. This Order, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will remain in force until 28 February 2027 or until the works have been completed whichever is sooner. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. (Ref: T17437/JP)
