Further to notice: Under section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), which commenced on 11 August 2026.
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
Effect of the order: To temporary close the cycletrack Old London Road, in the District of Harlow, from its junction with Old London Road (carriageway) northeast approximately 117 metres to London Road cycletrack.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 16 August 2026 to 16 February 2027 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while resurfacing of the footpath is undertaken.
Alternative route: Old London Road, Second Avenue, A414, Church Langley Way, London Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 16 August 2026 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Cycletrack/Footway, Church Langley) - (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026
Further to notice: Under section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), which commenced on 11 August 2026.
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
Effect of the order: To temporary close the cycletrack/footway, Church Langley, in the District of Harlow, from its junction with London Road, north and then northeast for approximately 425 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 16 August 2026 to 16 February 2027 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while resurfacing of the footpath is undertaken.
Alternative route: London Road, Church Langley and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 16 August 2026 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Epping Forest District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) - (Amendment No.61) Order 202*
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order:
1. To Revoke: ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Restrictions on the following length of road
Road Name: Newmans Lane, Loughton
Description:
West Side: From a point approximately 16 metres north of its junction with Borders Lane northeast for approximately 5 metres.
East Side: From a point approximately 19 metres north of its junction with Borders Lane northeast for approximately 2 metres.
This Order will be incorporated into ‘The Essex County Council (Epping Forest District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019’ by substituting map tiles: TQ430 962 Revision 2 to Revision 3.

Description:
West Side: From a point approximately 16 metres north of its junction with Borders Lane northeast for approximately 23 metres.
East Side: From a point approximately 19 metres north of its junction with Borders Lane northeast for approximately 23 metres.
Please note: The consultation for these bus cage markings is retrospective and is to formalise facilities that are already in place.

(Harlow District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) - (Amendment No.86) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given Colchester City Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1st July 2022 has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(1), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49 and 53 and Parts III and IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order:
1. To introduce additional Disabled Badge Holders Only bays in West Gate Harlow.
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Harlow District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by replacing tile numbers TL440 100 revision 4 with revision 5

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Notice Of Confirmation Of An Order Highways Act 1980 Public Path Diversion Order 2026 Footpath 50 Abbess Beauchamp And Berners Roding In The District Of Epping Forest
On 06/08/2026 Essex County Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed will divert a part length of Footpath 50 Abbess Beauchamp and Berners Roding, commencing from a point at grid reference 55936,20986 Postcode CM5 0PG, west of Ongar Road proceeding in a north-westward direction across the large, cultivated field to cross the River Roding and continue across an uncultivated field west north-westward to its connection with Footpath 27 Abbess Beauchamp and Berners Roding.
To an alternative route commencing from the aforementioned point west of Ongar Road proceeding west north-westward along the farm track to the next track junction where it deviates north westward across the uncultivated field to a bridge crossing of the River Roding. On the north side of the river bank the path continues at the field edge curving round in a westward direction to exit the field joining a track and heading north westward to connect with Footpath 29 Abbess Beauchamp and Berners Roding as shown on the order map.

The alternative route comes into force on 04/09/2026 and the old route will be stopped up with effect from 11/09/2026, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 20/08/2026, make an application to the High Court.
(A414 Edinburgh Way, Harlow) (Special Event) - (Temporary 30MPH Speed Limit) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit on the following length of A414 Edinburgh Way, in the District of Harlow, from its junction with Elizabeth Way Roundabout northeast to its junction with Howard Way Roundabout (The road is currently 50MPH)
The speed restriction is scheduled to commence on 28 August 2026 to 30 August 2026 or where appropriate signs are showing, and weather permitting and is required for the safety of the public while Harlow Town Show takes place.
The Order will come into effect on 28 August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the event have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the orders: To temporarily introduce closures on the following footpaths in the District of Harlow.
Footpath No — Description:
Footpath 65, Harlow - From its junction with footpath 66, southwest for approximately 275 metres.
Footpath 66, Harlow - From its junction with Edinburgh Way southeast for approximately 340 metres to its junction with Park Lane.
Footpath 67, Harlow - From its junction with Edinburgh Way southeast for approximately 135 metres.
Footpath 121, Harlow - From its junction with Footpath 65 southeast for approximately 108 metres to its junction with Park Lane.
The temporary restrictions are scheduled to commence on 24 August 2026 to 02 September 2026 or where appropriate signs are showing and are required for the safety of the public while Harlow Town Show takes place. The area will be barriered off, with stewards during event hours.
The diversion will be via: School Lane, Edinburgh Way, Park Lane, Fifth Avenue and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 24 August 2026 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the Event has been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hook Lane, Stapleford Abbotts in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 85m south west of its junction with Stapleford Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd September 2026 for 2 days or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGTR7C3S – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sidney Road, Theydon Bois in the District Epping Forest, from a point approximately 100m south east of its junction with Coppice Row for a distance of approximately 50m in a south easterly direction.
