What is happening?
TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF VARIOUS ROADS (VARIOUS PARISHES) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the said closures and restrictions is for Fibre Broadband installation works by Openreach.
There will be no stopping or waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted on a rolling programme commencing 8th September 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures and restrictions in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 23rd October 2026.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4077 EAST OF RAILWAY LINE TODDINGTON TO STUMPS CROSS (STANWAY PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4077 East of Railway Line Toddington to Stumps Cross from its junction with Winchcombe Road to outside of the property known as ‘Old Thatch Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 480 metres.
The reason for the closure is for drainage works.
The road is expected to be closed from 7th September 2026 until 11th September 2026 only.
However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 490152 OVERBURY STREET (CHARLTON KINGS PARISH) CHELTENHAM BOROUGH
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 490152 Overbury Street from outside of the property known as ‘Overbury Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 10 metres. The reason for the closure is for manhole repair works.
The road is expected to be closed from between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 on 10th September 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Notice is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council in exercise of its enabling powers under Section 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under Section 90G of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended) proposes to:
1) Introduce a 20mph speed limit as outlined in Schedule 1 below; and
2) Introduce a 30mph speed limit as outlined in Schedule 2 below; and
3) Introduce a 40mph speed limit as outlined in Schedule 3 below; and
4) Introduce the traffic calming features listed in Schedule 4 below.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 490451 Brunswick Street from outside of the property known as ’85 Brunswick Street’ to outside the property known as ’81 Brunswick Street’ for a distance of approximately 20 metres. The reason for the closure is for pole renewal works.
The road is expected to be closed on 8th September 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C62 ROAD FROM JUNCTION WITH THE LOTTERY TO JUNCTION WITH MURRELLS END (REDMARLEY PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C62 Road from Junction with The Lottery To Junction With Murrells End from outside the property known as ‘Pell Mell’ to outside the property known as ‘Woodside’ for a distance of approximately 220 metres.
The reason for the closure is for poling works on behalf of BT Openreach.
The road is expected to be closed between 11:00hrs and 17:00hrs on 4th September 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
