(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (G26-159)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at RAVENSHEAD in the Borough of Gedling
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. A60 MANSFIELD ROAD NORTH, RAVENSHEAD - From its junction with B6020 Kirkby Road for a distance of 800 metres in a northerly direction.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in the following length of road
a. A60 MANSFIELD ROAD NORTH, RAVENSHEAD - (Both Sides) (At Any Time) - From its junction with B6020 Kirkby Road for a distance of 800 metres in a northerly direction
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 20:00 hours, Monday 7th September 2026
Until 06:00 hours, Saturday 19th September 2026 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
A60 Nottingham Road, A617 Sherwood Way South, A611
Derby Road, B6020 Blidworth Road, B6020 Kirkby Road, and vice versa.
The Order will come into force on Monday 7th September 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out works to carriageway resurfacing;
