What is happening?

Temporary Traffic Management Order, Chelmsford Road, Upton
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 16 September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 21 September 2026.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
The effect of this Order is as follows:
[i] To impose a temporary road closure on Chelmsford Road, Upton as indicated by signs on site.
[ii] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Chelmsford Road, Upton.

It will come into operation on 17 September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 2 October 2026.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
The effect of this Order is as follows:
[i] To impose a temporary road closure on Knoll Lane, Corfe Mullen; Rushall Lane, Corfe Mullen and Waterloo Road, Corfe Mullen as indicated by signs on site.
[ii] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Knoll Lane, Corfe Mullen; Rushall Lane, Corfe Mullen and Waterloo Road, Corfe Mullen.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of Various Bridleways and Footpaths, Spetisbury and Tarrant Keyneston
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Bridleway E22/7 Tarrant Keyneston, Public Footpath E22/14 Tarrant Keyneston & Bridleway E17/5 Spetisbury, Public Footpath E17/2 Spetisbury from grid reference ST391497 103545 to grid reference ST391420 103459, a distance of approximately 110 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It came into operation on 16 August 2025 for a period of 26 weeks, but has been extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 2 March 2027 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
This Order is required to prevent users crossing the leet stream bridge that is considered unsafe for Right of Way traffic.

The Dorset Council (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Parking Places) (Map Based) (Amendment No.*) (Victoria Road and Princes Road, Ferndown) Order 202*
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
The effect of the Order will be to add the following:
• A new loading bay on Victoria Road, Ferndown
• New no loading at any time restrictions on Victoria Road, Ferndown
• A new 30 minute maximum stay limited wait parking bays (1 hour maximum stay for disabled badge holders) on Princes Road, Ferndown
• New no loading at any time restrictions and new no waiting at any time restrictions on Princes Road, Ferndown
