SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C119 (Part), Broad Town; from its junction with the right of way known as Footpath 7, Broad Town for a distance of approximately 1km in a northerly direction.

B) UC 077801 (Part), Broad Town; from its junction with C119 for a distance of approximately 40m in a westerly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out overhead cabling, pole replacement and other associated works. Alternative route A via C119 (unaffected length) – C15 – C415 – C119 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Alternative route B via C15 – C415 – C119 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 September 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 for 1 day. Alternative route via A4 – Littlecote Road – B4192 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 September 2026 and the closure will be required for 5 days. This Order will come into operation on 16 September 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 10:00 and 14:00 for 1 day. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 24 August 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 until 23 September 2026. This Order will come into operation on 24 August 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 until 28 August 2026. This Order will come into operation on 27 August 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. R) A345 (Part), Upavon; from a point approximately 100m north of its junction with A342 for a distance of approximately 140m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out works to complete a CCTV survey and cleaning of the sewer. Alternative route via A345 (unaffected length) – B3087 D A338 – A342 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 August 2026 and the closure will be required for 2 days. S) C261 (Part), Woodborough; from its junction with C38 for a distance of approximately 400m in an easterly direction to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out pollution prevention – lining sewers to prevent ground water infiltration. T) B4040 (Part), Luckington; from its junction with C87 for a distance of approximately 413m in a southerly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out overhead line works and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 25 August 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. AB) Burdett Street (Part), Ramsbury; from its junction with Back Lane for a distance of approximately 70m in a southerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out lay ducting and other associated works. Alternative route via High Street – The Square – Back Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 22 August 2026 and the closure will be required for 5 days. AC) Olivers Lane, Malmesbury; from its junction with High Street for its entire length to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out new connection works and other associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 24 August 2026 and the closure will be required for 5 days. AD) A345 (Part), Pewsey; from its junction with Pewsey Wharf Car Park for a distance of approximately 100m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services Limited to carry out repair mains leak and other associated works. Alternative route via A345 (unaffected length) – A342 – A338 – A346 – A4 – A345 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 07 May 2026 will now recommence on 27 August 2026 and the closure will be required for 2 days. For further information please contact Wessex Water Services Limited on 0345 6004600. Orders A) to AC) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order AD) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 16(A) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all vehicular traffic under a rolling road closure:

a) A420 Bristol Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Hardenhuish Avenue to its junction with Marshfield Road.

b) A420 Marshfield Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Bristol Road to its junction with Park Lane.

c) A420 Park Lane (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Marshfield Road to its junction with New Road.

d) A420 New Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Park Lane to its junction with The Bridge.

e) C365 The Bridge, Chippenham; from its junction with New Road to its junction with High Street.

f) C365 High Street, Chippenham; from its junction with The Bridge to its junction with Market Place.

g) C365 Market Place (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with High Street to its junction with The Causeway.

h) C365 The Causeway, Chippenham; from its junction with Market Place to its junction with London Road.

i) C365 London Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with The Causeway to its junction with A4 Pewsham Way.

The above closures will be managed on a ‘rolling road closure’ basis and will be reopened to traffic as soon as safely possible. And to close temporarily to all traffic:

j) C182 Hill Corner Road, Chippenham; from its junction with B4069 Pew Hill to its junction with B4158 Malmesbury Road.

k) B4158 Malmesbury Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with B4528 Hardenhuish Lane to its junction with A420 Park Lane.

These temporary traffic measures are required to safeguard members of the public and competitors whilst enabling the Chippenham Half Marathon to take place. This Order will come into operation on Sunday 13 September 2026 with the exception of vehicles officially involved in the marathon, vehicles being used for ambulance, police or fire brigade purposes, or the purpose of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, or with permission being given by a Police Constable in uniform. The rolling closures (a) to (i) are anticipated to commence at approximately 09:00 and finish at approximately 13:00 (depending upon the progress of the competition). B) Footpath 5 (Part), Stert; from its junction with Footpath 8, Urchfont for a distance of approximately 40m in a northerly direction to enable Crossing upgrade to allow to safer use of the crossing. This will include new approaches, steps and signage. Alternative route Footpath 8, Urchfont (unaffected length) – Footpath 1, Urchfont – Footpath 7, Urchfont – Footpath 6, Urchfont – Footpath 12, Stert – Bridleway 7, Stert – Footpath 5, Stert (unaffected length) and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 22 August 2026 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 19 September 2026. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months. Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce a 30mph speed limit on Bray Street, Avebury Trusloe, Avebury – from a point 105 metres west of its junction with Main Street to its eastern end; Longfields (including cul-de-sac), Avebury Trusloe, Avebury – the complete length; Main Street, Avebury Trusloe, Avebury – the complete length from its junction with Bray Street to its junction with Frog Lane; South Street, Avebury Trusloe, Avebury – from its junction with Main Street and Longfields for a distance of 195 metres in a westerly direction; Trusloe, Avebury Trusloe, Avebury – the complete length (of adopted highway).
