NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the;
B5271, Lindale, from its junction with the A590, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 320 metres. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the B5271, C5046, B5277, B5278, C5041 and the C5053. Duration: From 8th September 2026 for approx. 1 night between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 ONLY (Ref: TTROW/19916)
Old Lake Road, Ambleside, from its junction with Lake Road (A591), extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 30 metres. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Old Lake Road, Lake Road (A591), Wansfell Road, Rothay Road (A593), Kelsick Road and Lake Road (A591). Duration: From 28th September 2026 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROW/20094)

The Order will come into operation on 8th September 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
