THE M60 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 11 CLOCKWISE ENTRY SLIP ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 09346363) intends to make an Order on the M60 Motorway in the City of Salford in the County of Greater Manchester, for the purpose of enabling vegetation clearance, fencing works and other general maintenance works to be carried out in safety.
The Order will ban all traffic from the M60 clockwise entry slip road at Junction 11.
The prohibition is expected to be in place during the day between 05:00 and 13:00 during a period starting on Saturday 26 September 2026 and ending on Sunday 27 September 2026 and restarting again during the day between 05:00 and 13:00 Saturday 3rd October 2026 and ending on Sunday 4th October 2026.
However, works may start and continue between the same times on subsequent days or continue until completed
Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the M60 Motorway and local roads will be well signed.
The prohibition will not apply to emergency services, works, or traffic officer vehicles. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs. The Order comes into force on 25th September 2026 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months. For further information, contact sam.smith@nationalhighways.co.uk
