TRAFFIC CALMING SCHEME

KNOCKMORE ROAD, DERRYGONNELLY, CO FERMANAGH

Notice is hereby given that under Article 65 of the Roads (NI) Order 1993, the Department proposes to introduce road humps and other traffic calming works at Knockmore Road, Derrygonnelly, Co. Fermanagh, to control the speed of traffic past the Nursing Home, the Parish Church and residential homes adjacent to the carriageway.

The road humps will be constructed in accordance with the Road Humps Regulations (NI) 1999, other features will be constructed in accordance with the Traffic Calming Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995.

The scheme will consist of the following measures:

• Knockmore Road - One speed control cushion approximately 3.50 metres long, 1.70 metres wide and 70mm high adjacent to street light number 149.

• Knockmore Road - One speed control cushion approximately 3.50 metres long, 1.85 metres wide and 70mm high adjacent to street light number 145 and adjacent to the Church entrance.

• Knockmore Road - One speed control cushion approximately 3.00 metres long, 1.70 metres wide and 70mm high adjacent to street light number 142 and adjacent to No 16 Knockmore Road.

• Knockmore Road - One speed control cushion approximately 3.50 metres long, 1.85 metres wide and 70mm high adjacent to street light number 140 and adjacent to No 15 Knockmore Road.

Objections or other representations may be made in writing to the Department for Infrastructure, Network Development Section, Inishkeen House, Killyhevlin, Enniskillen, BT74 4EJ within a period of 31 days from the publication of this notice.

A map showing the speed control cushions and other traffic calming works including kerbing, carriageway narrowing and the provision of footways, may be inspected free of charge during office hours at the above-mentioned office.
