THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF NEWCASTLE UNDER LYME (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2025

NOTICE OF VARIATION OF RESTRICTIONS

The Borough Council hereby gives NOTICE in exercise of its powers under Sections 35(1), 35(3), 35C and 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 25 (Part V) of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, of its intention to introduce restrictions on the period of stay at certain off-street car parks listed in the Schedule to this Notice and which will come into effect from friday 1stJanuary 2027.

Heathcote Street/King Street, Kidsgrove

This TRO seeks to enable nipper parking of 30mins on King Street by the shops, short stay on the redeveloped lower bays of a maximum of 2 hours and long stay on the upper bays, all free. The intention of this is to ensure the turnover of the spaces closest to the shops but still provide free parking for those working all day in Kidsgrove.

Meadows Lane, Kidsgrove

The TRO seeks to enable free parking for up to 2 hours and then chargeable after, with a discount for Sunday, Bank Holidays and Event Parking.
