THE STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 77 BIDDULPH TOWN PARISH (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council on 11/8/26 made an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the section of Public Footpath No. 77 Biddulph Town Parish from its junction with Public Footpath No. 149 Biddulph Town Parish to the junction with Eliases Lane for approximately 230m.
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to the unsafe condition of the footbridge and subsequent works required.
No alternative route is available.
A plan will be displayed on site to show the length of path to be closed and unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order came into operation on 18/8/26 and will remain in force for a period of six months or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
