What is happening?

CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE (NORTH VIEW AREA C) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne intend, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians to proceed on;

i. Belvedere Court West Footway, for its entire length,

ii. Belvedere Court South Footway, for its entire length,

iii. St Mark’s Close West Footpath, between Morley Court South Footpath and St Mark’s Close,

iv. Morley Court South Footpath, between St Mark’s Close West Footpath and Morley Court East Footpath,

v. Morley Court West Footpath, for its entire length, and

vi. Morley Court East Footpath, between Morley Court South Footpath and Algernon Close.

2. The alternative route for traffic will be signed on site as required.

3. The order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.

4. The Order will come into operation on 21 September 2026 and will continue as and when relevant traffic signs are displayed, up to 31 July 2027 or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier.
