THE ROADS (SCOTLAND) ACT 1984

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Fife Council propose to make an Order under section 68(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, stopping up the lengths of road described in the Schedule hereto. The title of the Order is “The Fife Council 

(B921 Kinglassie Road, Glenrothes) (Stopping Up) Order 2026”.

Full details of the proposals may be examined during opening hours at Fife Council Headquarters, Fife House, North Street, Glenrothes and via public access pc’s at your closest library. The documents will also be available online at www.fife.gov.uk/notices After the proposed Order has been confirmed the lengths of road referred to in the Schedule hereto shall be deleted from the Council’s list of public roads in accordance with section 1(4) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984.

Objections to the proposals, stating the grounds of objection and the objector’s name & address, should be sent to Vicki Storrar, Roads & Transportation Services, Bankhead Central, Bankhead Park, Glenrothes, Fife, KY7 6BH or by email to vicki.storrar@fife.gov.uk by 16/09/2026.

SCHEDULE

Lengths of road at Kinglassie Road, Glenrothes to be stopped up:-

Section 1       That section of footpath (approx.  90 m) from a point 64m or thereby west of the south extent of Finavon Court leading to the eastbound layby of Kinglassie Road (B921), plus west branch to main footpath.

Section 2       That section of footpath (approx. 86m) from a point 76m or thereby northwest of Ruthven Green leading to the westbound layby of Kinglassie Road (B921).

Section 3       That section of footpath (approx.  74 m) from a point 275m or thereby along the eastbound carriageway from Southfield Roundabout to Stenton Road.
