South Lanarkshire Council propose to consider the introduction of a Traffic Regulation Order thereby introducing new regulated parking bays for the sole use of ‘blue’ badge holders on Boswell Drive, Blantyre; Helmsdale Court and McIntyre Terrace, both Cambuslang; Caneluk Avenue and Wilton Road, both Carluke; Main Street, Carnwath; Ash Place, Broom Crescent, Bryce Place, Darwin Road, Dawson Avenue, Glen More, Laburnum Avenue, Larch Court, Lyttleton, Munro Place, North Berwick Crescent, Sandpiper Place and Sinclair Place all East Kilbride; Hailstone Green and Ravenswood both Forth; Glenafton View, Kintore Park, Mary Street and West Wellbrae Crescent, all Hamilton; Kenilworth Road and Smiddy Court, both Lanark; Miller Street and Miller Street, both Larkhall; Drumilaw Way, Ellisland Crescent, Kingsacre Road, Reid Street, Tobermory Road, Trossachs Road, all Rutherglen.

Full details of these proposals, which form the proposed South Lanarkshire Council (Disabled Persons’ Parking Places) (No.3) Order 2026, together with a plan and statement of reasons for proposing to make this Traffic Regulation Order, are available for inspection on the council’s website.

Any person wishing to object to these proposals should send details of the grounds for objections in writing to the Head of Roads, Transportation and Fleet Services, Council Offices, Floor 6,  Almada Street, Hamilton ML3 0AA, or by email to parking.unit@southlanarkshire.gov.uk,  by Friday 18 September 2026.
