PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF RAISED TABLE – CENTRAL WAY, WORKINGTON

Notice is hereby given that Cumberland Council proposes to install a raised table at the location and to the dimensions as specified in the Schedule below.

Drawing Number: 109937-PEF-HGN-10-DR-C-00014 – Proposed Raised Table Plan which shows the location of the proposed raised table may be viewed on the Council’s website using the following link: Proposed traffic regulation orders (TROs) | Cumberland Council and may otherwise be obtained by emailing TROresponses@cumberland.gov.uk

If you wish to object to, or make representations regarding the above proposal, you should write to PO Box 415, Carlisle, CA1 9GU or by emailing TROresponses@cumberland.gov.uk quoting reference “Central Way Raised Table” not later than 10th September 2026.

SCHEDULE

A raised table is proposed to be installed on the U2650 Central Way, Workington from the centre line of its junction with Central Square, extending in a generally southerly direction for a distance of approximately 140m.

The dimensions of the table will be as follows: -

Height: 75mm

Width: 6.6m (full width of carriageway)

Length: 5.8m (including ramps)

Gradient of ramps: 1 in 12
