THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(40 MPH AND 50 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (VARIOUS ROADS, BEVERLEY) ORDER 2026
1. East Riding of Yorkshire Council proposes to make a Road Traffic Regulation Order the effect of which will be to:
1a. Prohibit traffic from travelling more than 40 miles per hour on the following sections of road: Jock’s Lodge Roundabout/ From a point 136m west of the A1079 centre of the roundabout, to a point 127m east of the centre, a total distance of 263m.
Jock’s Lodge Roundabout/ From a point 99m north of the A164 centre of the roundabout, to a point 144m South of the centre of the roundabout, a total distance of 243m.
1b. Prohibit traffic from travelling more than 50 miles per hour on the following sections of road: A164/unnamed new From a point 50m south of its section of road junction with Regiment Roundabout, 630m in a southerly direction.
A164/unnamed new From a point 120m south of its section of road/ junction with the Jock’s Lodge left branch Roundabout, to a point 150m south of the Bentley Junction. A total distance of 880m.
A164/unnamed new From a point 120m south section of road/ of its junction with the Jock’s right branch Lodge roundabout, to a point 150m south of the Bentley Junction.
A total distance of 890m.
A164/Victoria Road From a point 50m south of the Victoria Road junction, in a southern direction 1290m.
A164/Skidby Bypass From a point 150m south of the Bentley Junction, to a point 43m north of its junction with Castle Hill Roundabout, a total distance of 3780m.
2. A copy of the draft Order, relevant plan and a statement of the council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for inspection at Beverley Customer Service Centre, Champney Treasure House, Champney Road, Beverley, HU17 8HE. A copy of the street notice and annotated illustrative drawing have been placed on the council’s website (East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Traffic Management and Road Safety).
