Temporary Public Footpath Closure Notice Paradise Farm Footbridge (Footpath Number 1 Coxhoe Parish/Footpath Number 8 Cassop-Cum-Quarrington Parish), Coxhoe Order 2019
The above-named Order made by the Council on 14/9/2029, under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and which became operational on 26/2/2019 and was subsequently extended has been continued in force from 26/8/26, as approved by the Secretary of State for Transport, until 31/5/2027 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 5 metre length of Paradise Farm Footbridge at the junction of Footpath No. 1 Coxhoe Parish and Footpath No. 8 Cassop-Cum-Quarrington Parish, west of Coxhoe, to safeguard the public and to enable footbridge repair works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available from the north side of the closure via Footpath No. 8 Cassop-Cum-Quarrington Parish, northwards to the footbridge over the A1(M) and southwards from Footpath No. 8, onto Footpath No. 7 leading to road A688, continuing southwards to Tursdale roundabout, then eastwards along the A177 Thinford Road to Footpath No. 1 Coxhoe Parish, that leads north easterly under the A1(M) to the southern side of the closure and vice versa.
