NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Ely Footpath 23, Ely Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2026-20917

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Ely Footpath 23, Ely as lies between 10m either side of the footbridge. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footbridge maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 7/9 & 2/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Silver Street, Ely Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic; Temporary Revocation Of One-Way Traffic Order; Temporary Prohibition Of Waiting And Temporary Revocation of No Right Turn – Order 2026-20928

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Silver Street, Ely as lies between Cambridge Road C315 & Back Hill C317. To allow any vehicle to turn left from St Mary Road into Silver Street. During the period this Order remains in force Cambridgeshire County Council (Various Streets, Ely) (One-Way Traffic) (Consolidation) Order 1979; Silver Street from south east to west is hereby suspended. During the period this order remains in force Cambridgeshire County Council (Barton Square & Silver Street, Ely) (Prohibition & Restriction of Waiting) Order 2001. Waiting for more than one hour prohibited & no return within one hour between the hours of 8am & 6pm on any day other than a Sunday, Silver Street northern side, from a point 34 metres east of its junction with Church Lane to a point 13 metres east of its junction with Church Lane is hereby suspended. The alternative route for vehicles is via Back Hill C317; Barton Rd; Cambridge Rd C315; Silver St & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection, disconnection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 2/9 & 4/9/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

North Street, Burwell Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20930

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along North Street, Burwell as lies between Silver Street & Toyse Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via Toyse Ln; Silver St; North St & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate chamber, cover, frame repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 19/10 & 21/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Back Lane, Ely Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20949

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Back Lane, Ely as lies between No. 21 & Broad Street. The alternative route for vehicles is via Back Ln; Quayside; Waterside; Forehill; Broad St & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate stop tap replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 23/9 & 25/9/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

The Cotes, Soham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20965

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along The Cotes, Soham as lies between Soham Byway 10 & Soham Byway 14. The alternative route for vehicles is via Blockmoor Rd; Barway Rd; A142; The Shade; Townsend; Julius Martin Ln; Mereside & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate meter chamber installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 9/9 & 10/9/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Lynn Road, Ely Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20967

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Lynn Road, Ely as lies between White Bridge Cottage and Wood House Farm. The alternative route for vehicles is via Lynn Rd; Ely Rd, Littleport; Grange Ln; A10; B141; Cam Dr and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 1/9 and 3/9/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works and any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Soham Footpath 101, Soham Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2026-20991

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Soham Footpath 101, Soham as lies between 20m either side of the railway crossing gates or barriers. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary for public safety & it will come into operation on 4/9/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 3/3/27 whichever is the earlier.

Jubilee Close, Isleham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20993

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Jubilee Close, Isleham as lies between Nos.5 & 9. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate laying new ducting & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 28/9 & 29/9/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Sutton Road A1421, Haddenham Temporary 40mph & 30mph Speed Limit – Order 2026-21018

Is to impose a 40mph & 30mph speed limit along Sutton Road A1421, Haddenham as lies between Goodhope Farm & Haddenham Road A1421, Wentworth. The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 22/9 & 28/9/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Ely Road, Stretham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21128

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ely Road, Stretham as lies between Quarterway House & Ely Road Old Alignment. The alternative route for vehicles is via A10; A142; A1421; A1123 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 24/9 & 24/11/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

East Fen Drove, Soham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21132

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along East Fen Drove, Soham as lies between Soham Bypass & Common Gate Drove. The alternative route for vehicles is via Delphbridge Drove; Knaves Acre Drove; B1104; B1102; Soham Rd; Fordham Rd; A142 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate Carriageway repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 21/9 & 28/9/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Ely Way, Haddenham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21133

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ely Way, Haddenham as lies between Sutton Road & Pools Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1421; A142; Church Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gully cleaning, jetting & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 09:00hrs & 16:00hrs on 7/9/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

River Lane, Fordham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21146

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along River Lane, Fordham as lies between Fordham Byway 21 & Newmarket Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1102; Collins Hill & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gully cleaning & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 10/9 & 17/9/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Mildenhall Road, Littleport & Shippea Hill Temporary 40mph Speed Limit – Order 2026-21245

Is to impose a 40mph speed limit along Mildenhall Road, Littleport & Shippea Hill as lies between New River Bank & Burnt Fen Turnpike. The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate safety works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 1/9/26 & 29/2/28, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Various Roads, East Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21114

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads, as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. The proposed Order will come into operation on 1/9/26 & will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
