MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC 151823763: The City of Manchester (Wilmslow Road, Fallowfield Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Wilmslow Road, Ladybarn Road, Sherwood Street and Boland Drive. These works will take place on 3 separate Sundays. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed locally. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate resurfacing works following cyclops junction upgrade. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 6th September 13th September and the 20th September 2026 between the hours of 13:00 and 17:00 & 23:00 and 05:00. The order shall come into operation on the 6th September 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
