THE All TRUNK ROAD (STUMP CROSS INTERCHANGE TO A505 PAMPISFORD INTERCHANGE, CAMBRIDGESHIRE)
(TEMPORARY 40 MILES PER HOUR AND 50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) has made an Order on the All Trunk Road ("the All"), in the Counties of Cambridgeshire and Essex, because of the likelihood of danger to the public due a damaged vehicle safety barrier.

The order will come into force at 10pm on Tuesday 25 August 2026 and remain in force until repairs have been completed, or for a maximum duration of eighteen months whichever is the earlier.

The effect of the Order will be to impose, for 24 hours daily, a temporary speed limit on the A11 of -1. 40 miles per hour on the - 

• northbound carriageway from a point 1470 metres north of the entry slip road at Stump Cross Interchange for a distance of 1400 metres, and

• southbound carriageway from a point 500 metres north of the entry slip road at Newmarket Road, Great Abington, for a distance of 1400 metres.

2. 50 miles per hour on the - • northbound carriageway from a point 670 metres north of the entry slip road at Stump Cross Interchange for a distance of 800 metres, and

• southbound carriageway from a point 1300 metres north of the entry slip road at Newmarket Road, Great Abington, for a distance of 800 metres.

The temporary speed limits (which will not apply to emergency service or special forces vehicles) will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
