TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
PART OF VIKING ROAD, BRIDLINGTON
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding along
part of Viking Road, Bridlington from its junction with
Wheatley Drive north along Wheatley Drive right onto
Maple Road then right onto Viking Road commencing
9 September 2026 at 09.30 hours until
11 September 2026 at 15.30 hours. The reason for
the closure is to enable the proposed works to allow
for the clearance of two blockages and for ducting
works, to be carried out and completed in a manner
consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is
anticipated that the works will be completed within
three days. The alternative route for traffic affected by
the Order is via Viking Road, Maple Road and Wheatley
Drive, Bridlington CP, Bridlington North Ward. The
road will be closed to all through traffic but access will
be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and
pedestrians. The Order will commence 9 September
2026 and continue in force for a period not exceeding
eighteen months or until the works which it is
proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever
is the earlier. Further information can be obtained from
