What is happening?

ABANDONMENT –
CRAIGHILL PARK,
BALLYCLARE

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) being of the opinion
that the road is not necessary for road traffic, gives notice of
its intention to make an Order under Article 68 of the Roads
(Northern Ireland) Order 1993, the effect of which would be
to abandon an area of 1616 square metres of road and
turning head at Craighill Park, Ballyclare commencing at a
point 75 metres east of its junction with Ballyeaston Road
and extending for a distance of 87 metres.
The area proposed to be abandoned is delineated on a map,
which together with a copy of a draft Order, may be inspected
free of charge during office hours within the period 18 August
2026 to 28 September 2026 at DfI TRAM Northern, Crown
Buildings, Castle Place, Antrim, BT41 4JE or viewed online
at:

Inspection of the draft Order is by appointment only which
can be arranged either by e-mail using the e-mail address
below, or by telephone on 0300 200 7899 during office hours
(Mon to Fri 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.).
Any person may, within the period above, object to the
proposal by writing to DfI TRAM Northern Division, Lands
Section, County Hall, Castlerock Road, Coleraine, BT51
3HS, or by emailing

landsofficecoleraine@infrastructure-ni.

gov.uk stating the grounds of the objection.
