Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 20th August 2026:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WATER EATON ROAD (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2436)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following lengths of road whilst Network Rail undertake structural investigation works:
Water Eaton Road, Bletchley – from its junction with Wellington Place to its junction with Duncombe Street.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Buckingham Road, Saxon Street, Princes Way, Queensway, Vicarage Road and Manor Road (and vice versa).
The road closure will be in effect from 31st August – 1st September 2026 and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CHARDACRE, TWO MILE ASH) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2454)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following lengths of road whilst Openreach undertake connection works:
Chardacre, Two Mile Ash – Outside numbers 1 and 2.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, there will be no alternative route
The road closure will be in effect from 31st August – 2nd September 2026 and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BARBURY COURT, GIFFARD PARK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2455)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following lengths of road whilst Openreach undertake ducting works:
Barbury Court, Giffard Park – from outside number 11 to outside number 24
Whilst the above length of road is closed, there will be no alternative route.
The road closure will be in effect from 31st August – 3rd September 2026 and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS AND REDWAYS IN ASHLAND, ASTWOOD, GREAT LINFORD, NEW BRADWELL, STONY STRATFORD AND TILBROOK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2425)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following lengths of road and redway whilst Openreach undertake ducting works:
2nd – 4th September 2026 (9:30am to 4:30pm)
Bradbourne Drive, Tilbrook – Outside Mirza.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Sherbourne Drive, Brickhill Street and Tilbrook Roundabout (and vice versa).
14th September 2026 (8:00am – 6:00pm)
Main Road, Astwood – from its junction with Cranfield Road to its junction with Newport Pagnell Road.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Newport Pagnell Road (and vice versa).
16th – 18th September 2026 (9:00am to 5:00pm)
Park Road, Stony Stratford – from its junction with The Limes to outside number 31.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via The Limes, Egmont Avenue, Augustus Road and Calverton Road (and vice versa).
28th September – 30th October 2026
Redway AS04, Ashland – from its junction with Newington Gate for 270 metres in a southerly direction.
Whilst the above length of redway is closed, the alternative route will be via the footways running parallel to Redway AS04.
9th - 11th September 2026 (9:30am to 4:30pm)
St Leger Drive, Great Linford – its slip road from the southbound carriageway of Marlborough Street.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Marlborough Street and Redbridge Roundabout.
3rd - 4th September 2026 (8:00am to 5:00pm)
St Mary Street, New Bradwell – from its junction with Queen Anne Street to outside number 44.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Queen Anne Street, King Edward Street and St James Street (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SNELSHALL STREET (PART), KINGSMEAD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2445)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following lengths of road whilst Hutchinson 3G undertake works to upgrade telecoms equipment:
Snelshall Street, Kingsmead – from its junction with Picton Street to its junction with Childs Way
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Childs Way, Tattenhoe Street and Standing Way (and vice versa).
The road closure will be in effect from 2nd– 3rd September 2026 and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council on 18th August 2026, made the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders under Section 14(1) and 14(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BAMPTON CLOSE, FURZTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2446)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following lengths of road whilst Openreach undertake ducting works:
Bampton Close, Furzton – from outside number 10 to outside number 23.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, there will be no alternative route.
The road closure will be in effect from 24th – 26th August 2026 and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MILTON KEYNES) (VARIOUS ROADS, WEST BLETCHLEY) (CONSOLIDATION OF PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING) ORDER 2002) VARIATION ORDER 2026 (Reference TRO-450)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 18th August 2026 made the above Traffic Regulation Order, under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order:
The general effect of the above-mentioned Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines) along parts of Melrose Avenue, Dorchester Avenue, Whalley Drive and Banburies Close in West Bletchley (as proposed on 29th January 2026).
The made Order will take effect on 21st August 2026.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
