What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
STANEDGE ROAD, BAKEWELL

WHEN: 07 September or 08 September 2026 (between 09:30 and 14:30 only.)
WHERE: Stanedge Road, Bakewell between Fellside and Stone Edge.
REASON: To facilitate BT pole replacement.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Stanedge Road, Sheldon Lane, Monyash Road, South Church Street, Church Lane, North Church Street and vice versa. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
