Ribble Valley, Preston And Fylde - Multiple Traffic Notices

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(WOMENS TOUR OF BRITAIN 2026 (STAGE 2), RIBBLE VALLEY, PRESTON AND FYLDE DISTRICTS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY ORDER) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING OR UNLOADING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle (except for event participants) from proceeding over that length of roads as set in the schedule 1, temporary suspension of one way order as set in schedule 2 and temporary restriction of waiting and loading or unloading as set in schedule 3 to this order in the Borough of Ribble Valley, Preston and Fylde Districts.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closures will be signed locally during the rolling closure
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed, access for emergency services will be maintained.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to enable the holding of the Women's Tour Of Britain Event 2026 (stage 2)
The prohibition of through traffic will be operative from 00:00 hours until 17:00 on 20th August 2026 under rolling road closures as set out in schedule 1 to this order (Or, at such time as, the last competitor has passed a point specified in the first column of the schedule to this notice.)
Temporary Suspension of One-way traffic will be in place as stated in schedule 2 to this order
No waiting or loading or unloading at any time during 20:00 hours on the 19th August 2026 until 17:00 hours on 20th August 2026 in both directions on the highway is set out in schedule 3 to this order
