What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(A165 SCARBOROUGH ROAD,
BRIDLINGTON) (50 MPH SPEED LIMIT)
ORDER 2026

1. East Riding of Yorkshire Council proposes to make
a Road Traffic Regulation Order the effect of which
will be:
(a) To prohibit vehicles from proceeding at a speed
exceeding 50 mph on the following length of road:
Road Length of Road
A165 From a point 30 metres north
Scarborough of the give way markings of the
Road, North of northern arm of Aldershot Drive
Bridlington Roundabout, to a point 159 metres
northwest of the northwestern
kerbline of Grindale Road, a total
distance of 3,393 metres.
(b) to revoke the existing entire order known as
‘East Riding of Yorkshire Council (Scarborough Road,
Bridlington) (30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2007 for its
entire extents.
2. A copy of the draft Order, relevant plan and a
statement of the council’s reasons for proposing
to make the Order are available for inspection at
Bridlington Customer Service Centre, Town Hall,
Quay Road, Bridlington, YO16 4LP. A copy of the
street notice and relevant plan have been placed
on the council’s website (East Riding of Yorkshire
Council, Traffic Management and Road Safety).

3. Objections to the proposed Order, stating the
