NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Franklin Road, Dunstable to the side of number 55 Worthington Rd.
This temporary closure is required to enable street light renewal work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 14 September 2026 between the hours 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via Benning Avenue, Worthington Road, Franklin Rd and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 14 September 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Humphrys Road, Dunstable Lovett Way to outside number 3.
This temporary closure is required to enable Carriageway resurfacing, Paco patching and road markings to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 15 to 22 September 2026 between the hours 0900-1530 and 0800-1800 on weekends. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via Humphrys Rd, Lovett Way and vice versa.

(TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from exceeding a 30mph speed limit along the length of Harlington Road and Bridle Way, Toddington which extends from Harlington Road between Nursery Cottages and Briarmead farm and Bridle Way from J&K Recovery Signs to B5120.
This temporary speed limit is required to facilitate traffic light loop cuts and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
It is expected that the 30mph speed limit will be in operation from 1st September 2026 until 27 February 2027.
