Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Green Lane, Newsholme between the junction and the side of the houses commencing 7 September 2026 until 9 September 2026 between 08.00 hours until 18.00 hours. The reason for the closure is to allow for Quickline works to excavate to locate and repair a damaged/blocked telecoms duct to enable the provision of services to properties as part of the larger fibre to the home scheme works. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within three days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Rowlandhall Lane, Cross Common Lane, Station Road, Hull Road, Main Road and Green Lane, Wressle CP, Howdenshire Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
