TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (Yorkshire & Humber) (No.14) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of a length of Valley Road at Wombell in the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley. This is to enable development as permitted by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council under reference 2025/0650.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, Transport Infrastructure Planning Casework Unit, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@ dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/Y&H/S247/6342). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Wombwell Library, Station Road, Wombwell, Barnsley, S73 0BA.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 14 August 2026.
