TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5101
CROWNLAND ROAD, WALSHAM LE WILLOWS
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5101 Crownland Road, Walsham Le Willows from 150 metres southeast of the junction with Palmer Street for 300 metres southeastbound to facilitate pole replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Crownland Road, Sheepgate Lane, Badwell Green, Badwell Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 20/08/2026 from 10am - 4pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF
THE U4929 HEATH ROAD, HESSETT
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4929 Heath Road, Hessett to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Nether Street, New Road, Ipswich Road, Bury Road, Church Road, Beyton Road, The Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/08/2026 - 21/08/2026 from 8am - 5pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
THE C520 HOXNE ROAD, DENHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C520 Hoxne Road, Denham from Reading Cottage to Village Hall to facilitate pole testing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Denham Road, Heckfield Green, Clink Hill, Road from B1117 to C522, the B1117, Road from B1117 to C520, Hoxne Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 20/08/2026 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

(PARISHES OF HARTEST AND BROCKLEY) (BURY ROAD)
(B1066) (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026
On 17/08/2026 Suffolk County Council made the above Order for the Parishes of Hartest and Brockley under Section 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which would be to introduce a 40-mph speed limit to Bury Road, (B1066) from the 30mph speed limit terminal to the south of Brockley, in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 595m.
A copy of the Order, which comes into effect on 24/08/2026, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday; also at Glemsford Library, Unit 1a Bells Lane, Glemsford CO10 7QA. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm, and Sunday 11am - 3pm.
If anyone wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any of the requirements of that Act or any instrument made under it have not been complied with in relation to the Order, they may within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made apply to the High Court for this purpose.
