Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
Temporary One-Way Traffic Restriction Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above order dated 17th August 2026 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to impose a temporary one-way restriction over an area of highway being Cliff Road, Newquay Between Narrow Cliff junction with Edgcumbe Avenue and Cliff Road junction with Oakleigh Terrace in an easterly to westerly direction.
The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because highway improvement works are being executed on or near the road support the construction of the Mid Cornwall Metro.
The Order will come into operation on 4th September 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 31st March 2027.
The restriction will be in force 24 hours a day weekends included. Nothing in this order will apply to anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 12th August 2026 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Road From Grave Yard To Narrow Lane, Summercourt outside St Enoder Churchyard. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the highway to carry out works to damaged retaining wall.
The Order will come into operation on 13th August 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 31st August 2026.
The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 23rd July 2026 for a period of 21 days.
Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.
