Temporary Traffic Management Order - (Ellerton Road, Dagenham) (Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026

Notice Of Intent

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate sewer cover and frame replacement in the carriageway; the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intend to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Friday 18 September 2026.
The works expected for:
• Sewer cover and frame replacement in the carriageway, to take 1 day to complete. Completion date estimated as Friday 18 September 2026 with the work expected to be undertaken in 2 phases between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm.

However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.

3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily: -

Phase 1
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic on Ellerton Road, both sides, from a point in line with the extended common boundary of Nos. 34 and 36 Ellerton Road to a point 0.5 metres south of the extended common boundary of Nos. 30 and 32 Ellerton Road.
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic (Except for Access) on Ellerton Road, both sides, from its junction with Stamford Road to a point in line with the extended common boundary of Nos. 34 and 36 Ellerton Road.
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic (Except for Access) on Ellerton Road, both sides, from its junction with Goresbrook Road to a point 0.5 metres south of the extended common boundary of Nos. 30 and 32 Ellerton Road.
- Suspend the Resident Permit Holders Only Zone BEC Mon - Fri 8:30am - 5:30pm bays on Ellerton Road, both sides, outside Nos. 57-59 Ellerton Road.

Phase 2
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic on Ellerton Road, both sides, from a point in line with the extended common boundary of Nos. 38 and 40 Ellerton Road to a point in line with the extended common boundary of Nos. 85A and 87 Ellerton Road.
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic (Except for Access) on Ellerton Road, both sides, from its junction with Stamford Road to a point in line with the extended common boundary of Nos. 85A and 87 Ellerton Road.
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic (Except for Access) on Ellerton Road, both sides, from its junction with Goresbrook Road to a point in line with the extended common boundary of Nos. 38 and 40 Ellerton Road.
- Suspend the Resident Permit Holders Only Zone BEC Mon - Fri 8:30am – 5:30pm bay on Ellerton Road, west side, outside No. 85 Ellerton Road.

4. During Phases 1 and 2, alternative routes for Vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:
- Via Stamford Road, Flamstead Road, Goresbrook Road and Vice Versa.
- Via Stamford Road, Canonsleigh Road, Goresbrook Road and Vice Versa.
